Mark Anthony Mensik, formerly of Weimar, died peacefully at home on October 18th. He was born July 21, 1966 in Weimar. Shortly after graduation from Weimar High School, he moved to Houston. For the last 24 years, he worked at LJA Engineering.
Mark loved spending time at the ranch with Gary and his wife, Sharon and going on day trips with his sister, Dianne and husband, Noah. Most of all he enjoyed spending weekends at the farm with his mom and dad. He enjoyed going for walks and trying new places to eat.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Theodore (TC) Mensik who passed away on August 13th.
Mark is survived by his mother, Dorothy, and three siblings: Dianne Martinez and husband Noah, Linda Wagner and husband Mike, and Gary Mensik and wife Sharon; Six nieces and nephews: Chad Wagner (Casey), Dustin Wagner (Holly), Lena Leemhuis (Jacob), Emily Roseberry (Ryan), Joshua Martinez (Andrea), and Alexis Perez (Eladio). He is also survived by ten great nieces and nephews: Brady, Ryder, Landon, Nora, Anderson, Ethan, Sawyer, Hudson, Naomi, and Addison.
Mark is also survived by his work family at LJA Engineering who are heartbroken at his passing. Mark touched a lot of lives, and he will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be at Hubbard Funeral Home, Sunday October 27th from 4 – 7 pm, with a Rosary at 6 pm. The funeral mass will be held Monday, October 28th at 10:30 am at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, with viewing at church beginning at 9 am. Burial will be in St. Michael’s cemetery.
Pallbearers are Chad Wagner, Dustin Wagner, Brady Wagner, Joshua Martinez, Jacob Leemhuis, and Ryan Roseberry.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either St. Michael’s Church or school or the charity of your choice.
