Hermasella Dittrich Obituary

Hermasella Annie Findiesen Dittrich left this world on April 19, 2022 from her residence at The Heights of Tomball, Tomball, Texas.  She was 91 years of age.  Hermasella, fondly known as Hermie, was born to Vlasta and Herman Findeisen.  In 1948, Hermasella married the love of her life, August Richard Dittrich, better known as Junior and together they raised five children.  Making their first home in Galveston and later moved to San Antonio, Texas.  They relocated to Angleton in 1956.  Proudly purchased their Weimar farm in 1961.  The two loved spending every weekend on their farm, working side by side.  They built their log cabin that they retired to in 1982.  Hermasella was an amazing cook and baker.  Anyone who went to visit, was treated to home baked pies, cakes, cookies and kolaches.  Her love for her family and friends was expressed in her cooking.  A typical Sunday lunch looked like a thanksgiving meal.

Hermasella was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and a 50 plus year member of Catholic Daughters of America.  She was an excellent seamstress and made many beautiful dresses for her children and grandchildren.  Hermie loved her family and spent much of her time surrounded by those she loved and that loved her.

Hermasella is preceded in death by her Father Herman Findeisen, Mother Vlasta Findeisen, Husband August Dittrich, Son James Dittrich, and Sister Emma Lee Hunter.  She is survived by her children Pat Schoellkopf and son in law Bob Schoellkopf of Cypress, TX, Cathy Cader and son-in-law Allen Cader of Montgomery, TX,  Marilyn Dittrich of Conroe, TX, David Dittrich and daughter-in-law Debbie Dittrich of Damon, TX, and Barbara Wood of Tomball, TX.  Her Grandchildren include Christina Hutson of Cypress, TX, Stephanie Dye of Humble, TX, Jonathan Schoellkopf of Cypress, TX, Brian Schoellkopf of Cypress, TX, Christopher Cader of Houston, TX, Dana Scott of Baton Rouge, LA, Elizabeth Ynigez of Madison WI, Danielle Dittrich of New Orleans, LA, Cassie Dittrich of Damon, TX , and Moorea Wood of Austin, TX.  Hermie also leaves behind 11 great grandchildren.
