Annie Mensik Obituary

Annie Mensik left this world in peace on May 27, 2022 at the age of 96. She was a resident of Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Weimar, Texas for last 10 years. She was born March 26, 1926 to Josef P. and Mathilda Charbula Mensik in (Fayette County). She attended Pecan School in Holman Texas. After the 9th grade she went to Baldwin Business College in Yoakum, TX. When World War II broke out, she left her schooling behind to help out on the family farm. All five of her brothers were serving their country during the war. Annie was a member of St Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Holman and a member of the KJZT Society. She was a homemaker and loved to sew, grow vegetables in the garden, can and cook for her family. She also loved to play bingo and occasionally could be seen playing dominoes as well at Parkview Nursing Home.

She is survived by her brother Theodore (T.C.) Mensik and wife Dorothy of Weimar. Also surviving her are eleven nieces and nephews; James Mensik, wife Janet, Judy Dusek, husband Gary, Dianne Martinez, husband Noah, Linda Wagner, husband Mike, Gary Mensik, wife Sharon, Mark Mensik, David Mensik, Donald Mensik, wife Roseanna, Deborah Sorge, husband Robert, Michael Mensik, wife Gail, and Michele Jankowski. Also numerous great nieces and nephews and friends survive her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers Emil, John, Albert, wife Beatrice and Cyril, wife Lorene. She is also preceded by her sisters Mary, husband Arnold and an

infant sister Elizabeth.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church at Holman, Texas. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with a Rosary to follow at 10:00 a.m.

Interment will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be David Mensik, Donnie Mensik, James Mensik, Gary Mensik, Mark Mesik, and Mike Wagner.
