David Dennis Obituary

David Scott Dennis passed away peacefully at Seton Hays Hospital on August 20, 2023 in Kyle, Texas at the age of 57.

David is survived by his wife, Valerie; children, Charles Brock and his wife Jessica, Ashley Dennis, Jaimie Lleverino and husband Michael, Shawn Dennis and wife Danielle, and Dylan Dennis; grandchildren, Scarlet Pietsch, Johnathan Lleverino, Easton Denny, Kelsea Brock, Maya Lleverino, and Kaylee Brock of Weimar, Texas. He is preceded in death by father Roy Allen Dennis and Mother Judith Ann Wack.

David was born on August 14, 1966, in Newton, New Jersey to Roy and Judith Dennis. He graduated from Suny Delhi with a degree in Forestry. He married Valerie in 1988, and they spent the next 35 years together. After moving to Weimar, Texas, David began working for Wal-Mart as an Assistant Manager. Over the years, the couple welcomed 5 children into their home and David set about teaching them to do the work they enjoy. His children remember him as a loving father and driven fighter of his disease who encouraged them to pursue their goals.

David was accomplished at photography and often took pictures of his family, and grandchildren’s sporting events. He was a dedicated individual who loved his family and who was passionate about watching them succeed. He was an active and dedicated member of the St. Michael’s Catholic Church, in Weimar, Texas.
A memorial is scheduled for September 2 from at Hubbard Funeral Home, All are welcome to attend and celebrate David’s life.
