Our beloved mother, Antonia A. Stier, known to many as Toni, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on March 3, 2024, in Houston, Texas after a very rare illness at the age of 78.
The first of eight children, Antonia was born on November 22, 1945, in Brownsville, Texas. She is preceded by her parents, Jesus R. Aguilar, and Sabina Martinez.
She is survived by her two children, daughter, Michelle Stier Ducharme (John) and son, Randy Aguilar (Marisa), her loving husband, David R. Bronson, and her five grandchildren, Ryan Marshall Coyne, Cristina Rangel Main, Jessica Aguilar, Randy Aguilar, Jr., and Matthew Grayson Ducharme.
Among her survivors are her sisters and brothers, Estella Hernandez (Patricio), Concepcion Guerra (Gilberto), Ruben Aguilar (Sylvia), Robert Aguilar (Blanca), and Jorge Aguilar (Rebecca), and several nieces and nephews. Antonia was preceded by her brothers, Jose Jesus Aguilar, and Santiago Aguilar.
After retiring from Kroger after 33 years, she began her second career. Antonia worked as a Paraprofessional and Substitute Teacher for both Katy Independent School District and Weimar Independent School District, respectively, since 1999. She also enjoyed being an active and dedicated member of the Weimar Independent School District PTO helping to raise substantial funds.
She will be remembered as a loving and sweet mother, wife, mother-in-law, grandma and known as Gigi, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, and friend. She always provided for her children and loved her family unconditionally. She was an incredible and loving mother and will be missed greatly by all members of her family.
There will be a viewing at Hubbard Funeral Home on Thursday, March 14th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church on Friday, March 15th at 10:00 AM. Burial will immediately follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Weimar, Texas.
